Hygienic and low cost
MEIKO wet waste systems turn organic kitchen waste and leftovers into clean, easy-to-handle organic waste.
A variety of disposal methods are then possible:
Compost plant
Biogas plant
Sewage plant – digestion tower
The food waste is either fed directly into the grinding unit or transferred via a flushing trough. The grinding mechanism consists of a rotating grinding disc with a sieve ring, pump housing and motor. The comminuted food waste then makes its way to the de-watering press, where it is compacted and extensively de-watered. Volume reduction may be up to 85%! The water used to flush the waste through the system is then constantly recycled using a separate feed pump.
A wide range of technical planning options mean that the system can be adapted to practically any requirements presented by the building or organisational needs. For example, several grinding units can be attached to one de-watering press, even if each station is on a different floor.
The grinding unit and de-watering press are separate in this waste treatment system for the food service sector. This means that the grinding unit or units can be installed at the source of the waste (e.g. in the food preparation area or the dishwashing area) and the de-watering press in bin store. Waste is never stored before it is hygienically transported to the bin store via pipes.
