There are also five restaurants and bars and a luxury spa with indoor swimming pool. The InterContinental London - The O2 is managed and operated by the Arora Group under franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group.

"THE COLOUR CODING MAKES FOR EASY, VISUAL EXPLANATION AND THE SYSTEM REALLY DOES WORK WELL."
Executive Sous Chef Michael Sodah joined the hotel from the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel. “I knew from my experience at the Park Plaza – which also has MEIKO dishwashing – that we had the best machines on the market here.“
“The main dishwash area servicing the banqueting operation features two M-iQ machines; one dedicated flight machine for crockery and a rack machine for cutlery and glassware. This area is also supported by a DV80.2GiO machine next door, which handles small functions. “The banqueting operation could be catering for more than 3,000 covers in one hit and we needed something we can rely on to deliver great results.”
The hotel’s usual compliment of kitchen staff includes 30 chefs and 10 porters, but for major events up to 80 chefs and 60 KPs could be required. “What I particularly like,” continues Sodah, “is that it is easy for the porters to understand what is required for cleaning. Basically, anything coloured blue needs removal – it is so straightforward and a real help given the mix of languages here. The colour coding makes for easy, visual explanation and the system really does work well.”
MEIKO’s latest M-iQ conveyor and basket transport dishwashing machines deliver huge energy and chemical savings compared to conventional dishwashing systems. The rack and flight transport dishwasher’s use 33% less water and detergent than their predecessors, while delivering a 30% improved cleaning performance thanks to the high-pressure wash system. Each machine is built to order.
Heat recovery is incorporated as standard – there is no need to purchase separate heat recovery equipment any more, creating savings of between £5,000 and £8,000 on installation depending on the size of machine.
